FAQ
FAQ — EDIH
Frequently asked questions about the European Digital Innovation Hub program.
What is an EDIH (European Digital Innovation Hub)?
+
An EDIH is a network of support centers funded by the European Commission, aimed at helping companies (especially SMEs) and the public sector with digital transformation — technology testing, training, access to the innovation ecosystem and support in securing funding.
Are EDIH services really free?
+
Yes, for eligible SMEs and public-sector entities, services under the EDIH program are 100% free — funded by EU resources until the end of 2027.
Which companies qualify?
+
Primarily small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) registered in the EU, as well as public-sector entities and mid-cap companies (up to 3,000 employees) in specific cases. We verify eligibility individually during the first call.
What does the application process look like?
+
1) Initial call and needs diagnosis (free). 2) Eligibility verification. 3) Service selection (test before invest, training, advisory). 4) Delivery according to the program schedule.
Which technologies can be tested under 'test before invest'?
+
Most often: AI and machine learning solutions, process automation (RPA), data analytics tools, cloud technologies, and cybersecurity solutions — tailored to the client's industry.
Until when does the program run?
+
The current edition of the EDIH program is funded until the end of 2027. We encourage applying as early as possible — the number of places in each support track is limited.
